About the Position

East Bay Post Acute is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and motivated Maintenance Assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate will assist with maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities


* Assist with routine building maintenance, repairs, and upkeep.


* Perform minor plumbing, electrical, painting, and general repair tasks as assigned.


* Help maintain the facility grounds and exterior areas.


* Inspect equipment and report maintenance concerns or safety hazards.


* Assist with preventive maintenance and facility improvement projects.


* Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.


* Follow all facility safety procedures and applicable regulations.


* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications


* Previous maintenance or handyman experience preferred.


* Basic knowledge of building maintenance, repairs, and tools.


* Ability to troubleshoot minor maintenance issues.


* Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.


* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


* Ability to lift, carry, and move maintenance supplies as needed.


* Healthcare or skilled nursing facility experience is a plus.
