SUMMARY OF POSITION: UGM Thrift Stores specialize in reselling, reusing and recycling slightly used donated clothing, furniture and household items.

The Assistant Processing Manager works to process donations from donors to retail.

This includes, but is not limited to, accepting, sorting and pricing donated items.

The Assistant Processing Manager is to partner with the Processing Manager to create a Christ-centered environment by leading the processing team by example and performing all duties required to receive, sort, and donated items.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTIES: Assist the Processing Manager with supervising Shift Leads, Processing Staff and ETO employees.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Key Result Area #1: Culture, Training and Best Practices Perform any of the required job duties within the processing team.

This includes all requirements related to accepting donations, presorting and pricing merchandise.Welcome donors in a timely manner in a way that they feel confident that UGM appreciates them and understands their value.Handle the receiving and donation process with the utmost respect and care including greeting the donor, assisting in unloading donations, telling the UGM Thrift story, repeating details back to donor, and issuing a receipt.Maintain clean and well-organized reception, presort and processing areas, and personal processing stations.Recognize quality merchandise and effectively research market value of product.Work with and effectively communicate with the Processing Manager, other processing employees and donors on a daily basis.Help motivate and encourage processing team to adhere to daily and weekly production goals.Produce quick and accurate work in a fast-paced environment, successfully staying above company average of pieces produced per hour.
