Your Impact Sanbell is looking for an experienced California-licensed Professional Land Surveyor to lead our Land Survey Department in Ventura.

As Senior Land Surveyor Manager, youll have ownership well beyond individual survey projects.

Youll lead and develop the survey team, oversee project quality and profitability, strengthen client relationships, and help grow Sanbells surveying business throughout the region.

This is an opportunity for an experienced survey professional who wants to combine technical expertise with department leadership, client strategy, and business development at a growing multidisciplinary engineering and design firm.

Youll be responsible for the performance and continued development of Sanbells Land Survey Department, including: Leading, hiring, training, and developing survey professionalsSetting department priorities, workloads, schedules, and project budgetsEnsuring the accuracy, quality, and timely delivery of survey workManaging project scope, profitability, deadlines, and client commitmentsBuilding relationships with existing clients while developing new businessIntroducing new survey technology, equipment, workflows, and standardsServing as a senior technical resource for the department and broader organization What Youll Do Lead the Survey Department Manage the day-to-day performance and priorities of the Land Survey DepartmentHire, train, mentor, and support survey staffAssign work and balance resources across active projectsMaintain and enforce Sanbells quality standardsEvaluate department equipment and technology needs and make recommendations to company leadership Drive Successful Projects Serve as Project Manager or Task Manager based on project needsEstablish project schedules and budgets and monitor performance against bothReview monthly invoicing and help ensure project profitabilityOversee proposals, change orders, and support contract negotiationsReview and sign survey documents, exhibits, maps, and contractsPerform and oversee survey data processing and analysis Build Strong Client Relationships Maintain trusted relationships with Sanbells existing clientsEnsure client commitments are understood and...
