Environmental, Health and Safety Specialist I

Ellingson is hiring an Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist I to join their growing team.

This person will preferably work out of our headquarters in Southern MN.

Qualified candidates living in IA, WI, SD and ND will also be considered.

Our benefits include: Paid Time OffHealth, Vision, Dental InsurancePaid travel & Company Vehicle401(k) match The Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist I will be responsible for the following: Assist in developing, implementing, and communicating the companys safety policies and standards which support efforts towards an injury-free goal.Identify and work to correct potential hazards and unsafe work conditions.Drive and assist with incident investigations and implementation of effective solutions.Assist in completing Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and facilitate/attend EH&S toolbox safety meetings.Help lead Operational Excellence initiatives.

Requirements: Ability and willingness to travel nationally up to 90%, travel could be short notice but typically with a week or more notice.

Current Construction, Health & Safety Technician (CHST) certification through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) is preferred.

Minimum of 3-5 years of training, construction safety, gas distribution, or pipeline experience preferred.

Knowledge of OSHA/DOT regulations and industry standards preferred.

OSHA 500, or 510 certifications preferred.

Experience in HDD, Oil & Gas, or similar industries preferred.

Ability to communicate, organize and prioritize daily workload, follow, and promote policies/ procedures, and maintain company confidentiality.

Experience in developing technical programs in accordance with industry requirements and conducting training sessions with field employees to support operations.
