Public Works Tech/Solid Waste -Seasonal

POSITION SUMMARY Under direct supervision, performs unskilled manual labor in collection and disposal of refuse and the collection and processing of recyclable materials; performs related work as required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Collects refuse on assigned daily route and places in collection vehicle.

Collects and processes recyclable materials.

Assists in maintaining clean vehicles and building as assigned to Division, including recycling center.

Assists in performing minor repairs and maintenance on collection vehicle Other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES Work is thorough, timely and reflects follow-through to completion.

Complies with departmental performance standards.

Demonstrates willingness to undertake duties as assigned.
