Warehouse Associate

SUMMARY: Responsible for a variety of Warehouse duties depending on department workflow needs.

This position requires cross training and regular alternating between Order Picking, Quality Control, Packing, Receiving, and Stocking duties.

Must possess the ability to work together with other team members to exceed our customers requirements and expectations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: ORDER PICKING Pick merchandise in batches to fulfill customer ordersBox the picked merchandise and organize for quality control to review before sending to shippingRealign inventory so that all the inventory is located in the same areaRestock items from secondary locations to primary location to speed up the picking process QUALITY CONTROL Check and scan items from the batches to be placed in individual ordersVerify that individual orders are complete and send to shipping to be packaged and sent outVerify overall quality of item by general appearance of packagingVerify that the order is correctCoordinate with inventory control on orders with missing merchandise PACKING Package shipment according to company standardsVerify shipping labels are accurateLoad trucks in a timely mannerRestock shipping supplies in stalls RECEIVING Count, weigh and measure items of incoming shipments in order to verify information against invoices, purchase orders , bills of lading or other recordsVerify accuracy of shipments and if no exceptions enter into inventoryStamp company invoices with terms / due dates and fileProcess over shipped or damaged merchandise and send back to companySort and stage merchandise to be stocked on the shelvesProcess drop ship ordersReconcile weekly and monthly receipt reportsCheckout customer pickup ordersUnload trucksAssist pickers in locating hard to reach or hard to find merchandise STOCKING Restock inventory on shelves efficientlyRemove bin boxes from shelves for discounted productsAssist pickers in finding productsRealign lines with new productsRepair worn bin boxesMoving inventory from receiving to restock shelvesMove empty pallets back to the receiving areaStock inbound inventory to primary shelves or o/f shelves as necessary GENERAL Keep area clean and safe by moving cardboard boxes to compactor and entire area free of all trashCommunicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkersPerform other duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Basic computer skillsWork independently with little directionAttention to detailGood communication, organizational, time management, and mathematical skillsMust be capable of repetitive lifting of up to 50 lb; must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of timeAble to withstand temperatures in a typical warehouse environment EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalentPrevious warehouse experience preferred but not required EMPLOYERS RIGHTS: This job description does not list all the duties of the job.
