Mission Overview

Join the Cybersecurity Centre of Excellence and contribute to the definition and implementation of cybersecurity for Software-Defined architecture.

Working with cybersecurity architects and technical experts, you will help identify security risks, define security principles and requirements, and explore how cybersecurity capabilities can be integrated into a highly connected, software-defined architecture.

This internship is ideal for someone interested in cybersecurity architecture, embedded systems, edge technologies, and industrial cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities


* Contribute to the definition of the cybersecurity architecture and security principles for a Software-Defined environment.


* Analyze the architecture, assets, interfaces, data flows, and trust boundaries to identify potential cybersecurity risks and attack surfaces.


* Support in threat modeling and cybersecurity risk assessment activities.


* Define cybersecurity requirements covering areas such as identity and access management, authentication, authorization, secure communication, cryptography, secure boot, secure update, integrity protection, isolation, monitoring, and logging.


* Investigate security approaches based on Zero Trust, identity-based security, segmentation, workload isolation, and least privilege.


* Contribute to the definition of security mechanisms for communication between devices, edge, cloud, and other applications.


* Document security architecture decisions, assumptions, risks, and technical recommendations.


* Contribute to the alignment of the architecture with relevant cybersecurity standards and regulations, such as IEC 62443 and the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).


* Collaborate with cybersecurity architects, system architects and system experts.

Desired Profile


* Student in cybersecurity, computer science, software engineering, embedded systems, network engineering, or related field.


* Strong interest in cybersecurity architecture and Software-Defined systems.


* Basic understanding of networking, operating systems, virtualization/containerization, cloud or edge computing.


* Knowledge of cybersecurity principles such as authentication, access control, cryptography, network security, secure communication, and system hardening.


* Interest in industrial/OT cybersecurity,


* Knowledge of cybersecurity standards such as IEC 62443 or regulations such as the CRA is a plus


* Good analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills.


* Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary and international environment.


* Proficiency in English and French.
