Shipping Clerk (Chittenango, NY)

Rate of Pay: $20.14/hr- Up to $40 an hour paid for applicants with previous manufacturing experience

Job Summary:
Perform all required duties relating to receiving, storing, and distributing material, tools, equipment, and products within the establishment.

Essential Job Functions:


* Responsible for packaging orders in accordance with customer specifications.


* Responsible for maintaining lot integrity and piece counts.


* Ability to coordinate and communicate shipping through various vendors including customer shipments, Outside Service Processing including but not limited to HIP, Machining and other shipping activities as needed.


* May be required to perform the functions of a heat treat clerk.


* Identify and implement improvement opportunities through the use of tools such as Systematic Problem Solving, Process Management, Value Stream Mapping, etc.


* Responsible for adherence to all safety polices, practices and procedures.


* Ability to work overtime


* Attendance/Reliability


* Ability to work at the Chittenango facility

Qualifications:


* Education: High school diploma or GED.


* Experience: No prior experience required as we provide training, but prior manufacturing or mechanical experience is a plus!


* Computer skills: Basic computer skills are needed


* Certifications/Licenses: Pallet Jack certification


* Language skills: Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, workstation documents and Internal Method Sheets (IMS).

Ability to speak effectively (professionally) and interact with other team members, engineers and leadership.


* Mathematical Skills: - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals..


* Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
