Maintenance Planner

Position Summary

The Maintenance Planner is responsible for coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability, plant efficiency, and operational performance.

This role manages maintenance planning, contractor coordination, procurement, inventory, budgeting support, and CMMS administration while serving as a key link between maintenance, operations, vendors, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities


* Plan, schedule, and coordinate preventive maintenance activities throughout the plant.



* Prioritize and organize maintenance work orders to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.


* Coordinate contractors and outside service providers for maintenance projects and repairs.


* Prepare and kit work orders by ensuring parts, tools, and materials are available before scheduled work.


* Purchase, receive, and manage materials required for daily maintenance and capital projects.


* Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to secure quality parts, materials, and services at competitive prices.


* Manage local and overseas procurement activities and assist with long-term inventory planning.



* Maintain accurate records and scheduling within the eMaint CMMS system.


* Assist management with monthly and annual maintenance budgeting and cost control initiatives.


* Support maintenance activities and provide administrative assistance across plant operations, including office functions such as Scalehouse and Payroll support when required.

Qualifications


* Associate degree in Maintenance Management, Industrial Maintenance, Engineering Technology, Business, or related field preferred.



* 3+ years of experience in maintenance planning, industrial maintenance, procurement, or a related field perferred.


* Experience using a CMMS system, preferably eMaint.


* Strong organizational, communication, purchasing, and negotiation skills.



* Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.


* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced industrial environment.

* Ability to work in a plant environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying weather conditions.
