Communications Policy & Strategy Planner
Tharros provides support to Headquarters Air Combat Command (HQ ACC) at Langley Air Force Base, Virginia.
Support includes a full range of Information Warfare training and operations, Information Systems & Operations, Communications, Administrative Support, and Knowledge Based Services across the air, space, and cyber domains.
We are seeking a Communications Policy & Strategy Planner to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for planning and strategizing communications for dynamic, deployed operations.
This role is critical to ensuring warfighters and command elements maintain secure, reliable, and rapid communications aligned with organizational expeditionary communications missions and initiatives.
Position is 90% remote, with 10% travel to the DC/Pentagon region.
Responsibilities include: Analyze organizational communication and cyber policy, and assist in the development of plans, strategy, and policy initiatives.Assess policy needs and collaborate with stakeholders to develop policies to govern communications and cyber activities.Design/integrate a strategy that outlines the vision, mission, and goals that align with the organizations strategic plan.Draft, staff, and publish policy.Monitor the rigorous application of policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of planning and management service.Provide policy guidance to management, staff, and users.Review, conduct, or participate in audits of programs and projects.Support in the formulation of tactical communications-related policies.Interpret and apply applicable laws, statutes, and regulatory documents and integrateinto policy.Advocate for adequate funding for training resources, to include both internal andindustry-provided courses, instructors, and related materials.Promote awareness of tactical communications and cyber policy and strategy asappropriate among management and ensure sound principles are reflected in the organizations mission, vision, and goals.Define and integrate current and future mission environments.Develop policy, programs, and guidelines for implementation.Establish and maintain communication channels with stakeholders.Seek consensus on proposed policy changes from stakeholders.Review existing and proposed policies with stakeholders.Serve on organization and inter-organization policy boards.Review/Assess expeditionary workforce effectiveness to adjust skill and/orqualification standards.
