Intervention Specialist

Overview: Columbus Preparatory Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Intervention Specialist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will hold an active Ohio Intervention Specialist license.

Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, ensuring alignment with state and federal regulations.Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to deliver inclusive and effective instructional strategies tailored to each students unique needs.Utilize evidence-based interventions and best teaching practices to promote student engagement, academic progress, and social-emotional development.Monitor and evaluate student progress regularly, adjusting strategies and goals as necessary to ensure continued growth.Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including IEP progress updates and compliance records.Employ technology and tools such as SameGoal to streamline documentation and enhance communication across teams (preferred but not required).Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to reach their full potential.Participate in professional development opportunities to remain current on special education trends and best practices.
