Job responsibilities


* Design and implement cloud-native software solutions using modern technology stacks to deliver highly available, performant, and resilient products


* Develop secure, high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others to improve reliability and maintainability


* Drive decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and operational processes across the engineering lifecycle


* Serve as a subject matter expert in one or more focus areas (for example: public cloud engineering, platform engineering, or infrastructure as code)


* Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, and knowledge-sharing sessions to strengthen team capabilities and delivery consistency


* Influence peers and project stakeholders to adopt leading engineering practices and technologies that improve measurable outcomes


* Drive adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices across teams to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes (for example: AI-assisted code review and refactoring, test acceleration, release readiness, and incident root-cause analysis), while establishing measurable validation standards and promoting reuse


* Apply knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including approved AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation at scale

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills


* Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience and 2+ years of experience leading engineers to plan, deliver, and resolve complex technical items within your domain of expertise


* Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and production operations for distributed services


* Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Go, Python, Java, or TypeScript


* Experience migrating complex applications to the public cloud (IaC developer, SRE and Acceleration roles)


* Experience delivering in an Agile environment using practices such as continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/DC), and Scrum
