Family Thrift Store General Associate
FAMILY THRIFT STORE PRODUCTION & DONATION ASSOCIATE The position of Family Thrift Store Production & Donation Associate presents an exciting opportunity for a high-energy, self-directed individual to support the mission of Life Network.
This role is donor-facing and requires excellent communication skills, as well as the ability to perform physical tasks associated with receiving, processing, and merchandising donated goods.
This position will be under the guidance of the Director and Assistant Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES Cheerfully greet donors and receive donationsEffectively communicate Life Networks mission statementSort and price donated itemsMaintains an atmosphere of teamwork and fellowship with other staff and volunteersEnsures donated items meet FTS standards for quality and suitabilityMerchandise processed items onto the sales floor as appropriate, contributing to a well-organized and appealing shopping environmentProvide excellent customer service while on the sales floorEnsure cleanliness and organization of the production areas to facilitate efficient donation processingParticipation by all staff is required at Life Networks major events EXPERIENCE High school graduateThrift store or retail experience a plus QUALIFICATIONS Strong advocate for the sanctity of life issuesPossesses Christian testimony with evidence of Christian maturity in personal and professional lifeActive commitment to a local churchA passion for the ministry accomplished through Life NetworkDemonstrates qualities of initiative, teamwork, and goal orientatedExhibits initiative, teamwork, and a goal-orientated mindset in accomplishing tasksFlexible and adaptable in handling unpredictable situationsEnjoys interaction with the public, providing courteous and helpful service to donors and customersCapable of lifting 50-75 lbs.
and performing physical tasks associated with donation handling and store maintenanceHold a valid drivers license with a clean record, able to meet transportation needs as required by the position PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to stand, walk, and move about the store and production areas for extended periodsFrequent bending, stooping, reaching, lifting, and twisting when receiving, sorting, and processing donated goodsAbility to lift, push, pull, and carry 5075 lbs.
on a regular basisRepetitive use of hands and arms for sorting, pricing, and merchandising itemsVisual, hearing, and verbal ability sufficient to communicate with donors, customers, and staffAbility to perform physical tasks associated with donation handling and store and production-area maintenance CLASSIFICATION Full-time, Non-Exempt at 40 hours per week.
Pay range: $15.16 - $17.50 per hour.
Scheduled hours are Tuesday Saturday, 9:30 a.m.
6:00 p.m.
(Saturdays required).
Reports to the Store Manager.
Primarily working out of the our Falcon Thrift Store.
