Accounting Manager – Lead Financial Operations & Land Development Accounting in North Texas

The Opportunity

You will take ownership of end-to-end financial operations while shaping the future of our finance department as the company expands.

This role puts you on a direct growth trajectory toward Comptroller, giving you the platform to manage key construction financials and build a high-performing accounting team.

How You Will Make an Impact


* Support the COO in managing company financial data to ensure full compliance with GAAP standards.


* Perform Accounts Payable tasks to ensure timely and accurate construction vendor payments.


* Conduct Accounts Receivable functions specifically tailored for residential home sales accounts.


* Execute daily General Ledger entries, including recording income, payments, and adjustments.


* Reconcile bank accounts monthly and manage weekly invoice processing with high accuracy.


* Generate and analyze financial reports as needed to drive leadership decision-making.


* Hire, train, and lead a growing finance team to safeguard the company's financial integrity.

Required Qualifications & Experience


* BS Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or 5+ years of equivalent experience.


* Proven bookkeeping experience with a solid understanding of AP/AR practices in residential construction.


* Proficiency in managing accounting data, financial records, and accurate data entry.


* Hands-on experience using MS Excel spreadsheets, Intuit QuickBooks, and Hyphen Solutions Brix.


* Demonstrated leadership skills with the drive to build and guide a finance team.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience


* CPA credentials or active pursuit of certification.


* Specialized experience in Land Development accounting procedures.


* Ability to quickly learn evolving software platforms and internal administrative workflows.
