A-Level Automotive Technician

About the Position Jerry's Automotive is looking for an experienced A-Level Automotive Technician who can confidently diagnose and repair complex vehicle concerns with minimal supervision.

This is a senior-level technician position for someone who has strong mechanical and diagnostic experience and is comfortable taking a vehicle from initial diagnosis through completed repair.

The ideal candidate understands that finding the root cause matters just as much as completing the repair and takes pride in doing the job correctly the first time.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Independently diagnose and repair cars, SUVs, light-duty trucks, company vehicles, and fleet vehicles.

Diagnose complex check-engine, drivability, electrical, starting, charging, and mechanical concerns.

Perform advanced diagnostics using scan tools, electrical testing equipment, technical service information, and other diagnostic resources.

Perform engine performance and mechanical repairs.

Diagnose and repair brake, steering, suspension, cooling, exhaust, HVAC, and electrical systems.

Perform alignments, preventive maintenance, fluid services, and other general automotive repairs as needed.

Complete comprehensive vehicle inspections and accurately identify needed and recommended repairs.

Determine parts and repair requirements and communicate findings clearly with service staff and management.

Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Document diagnostic findings, repairs performed, and recommendations accurately.

Verify repairs and perform quality checks before vehicles are returned to customers.

Assist with maintenance and repair of company and fleet vehicles as needed.

Provide technical guidance to developing technicians when appropriate.

Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.

Follow company procedures and all applicable shop and workplace safety requirements.
