SIPS Specialist 2

Position Overview BLOC Resources is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented SIPS Specialist 2 to support Southern Company's Supply Chain Management Supplier Information and Process Solutions (SIPS) team in Birmingham, Alabama.

This position plays an important role in supporting Southern Company's Source-to-Pay (S2P) process through the vetting, establishment, maintenance, and administration of a supplier master database containing more than 60,000 supplier records.

The SIPS Specialist 2 will be responsible for processing requests to add, change, maintain, or inactivate suppliers in accordance with established policies and procedures.

This is a fast-paced, high-volume transactional position requiring exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, confidentiality, organization, and the ability to manage multiple requests and priorities.

Because supplier records may contain confidential and sensitive business information, the successful candidate must demonstrate sound judgment and consistently follow applicable compliance requirements, auditing controls, guidelines, and established procedures.

The position interacts with both internal and external customers, making professional communication, customer service, follow-through, and problem-solving abilities essential.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can work independently, adapt to changing responsibilities, and maintain a high degree of accuracy in a high-volume environment.
