Application Developer 2

Position Overview BLOC Resources is seeking an experienced and creative Application Developer 2 - Training Developer to support Southern Company operations in Birmingham, Alabama.

This position is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting training programs and instructional materials that educate employees and learners on specific processes, systems, topics, and skills.

The Training Developer will collaborate with department managers, subject-matter experts, and other stakeholders to identify training needs, establish learning objectives, develop curricula, create instructional content, facilitate training sessions, evaluate learner performance, and continuously improve training effectiveness.

A significant portion of this position will involve developing and maintaining professional training materials using Microsoft PowerPoint and SharePoint.

Strong hands-on proficiency with both PowerPoint and SharePoint is required for this position.

The ideal candidate combines strong instructional-design and curriculum-development capabilities with excellent communication, presentation, technology, organization, and stakeholder-management skills.
