Part-Time Store Assistant - Wembley

IKEA Wembley are looking to welcome Store Assistants to our team.

Join IKEA Wembley as a Store Assistant, with a primary focus on our Cooking & Eating or Textiles department.

You'll support customers with their purchasing decisions, keep products available and well-presented, and work across different areas of the store to create an easy, enjoyable shopping experience for every visitor.

WHAT WE OFFER   

• The Start Date of employment will be: 3rd November 2026.

• Competitive hourly rate of £14.80 per hour. 

• 16 hour contract, working 4 days per week with every fourth weekend off.

• 20 hour contract, working 4 days per week with every fourth weekend off.

• Shift patterns will require you to be available for evening and weekend working.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE  

• You have a positive approach, enjoy working on different tasks throughout the day, are enthusiastic about being part of the team and can work without supervision.

• You have a customer-first mindset and enjoy the versatility of working in a different area each day, making the customer feel valued and supported in everything you do. 

• You are computer literate and able to work with technology. 

• You prioritise and organise your own work to make efficient use of the time available with great attention to detail. 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY  

• You will adopt a flexible approach to working, being part of a store team to take responsibility for all areas of the store.

This will include customer facing roles, such as sales, checkouts, returns, fulfilment and stock replenishing.

You will mainly be based within our Cooking & Eating or Textiles Sales function.

• You will use the IKEA vision of a better everyday life at home and prioritise the customer experience by interacting with guests and promoting products to align with their needs to create a memorable shopping experience. 

• Support maximising sales by ensuring all areas of responsibility are clean, fully stocked, all products priced, well presented and easy to shop.

Some products may involve heavy lifting. 

• You may carry out manual handling and heavy lifting of various stock.

Using pump trucks and trolleys to safely and efficiently transport heavy goods within the warehouse.
