Inpatient Surgical:  Barnes-Jewish Hospital Inpatient Surgery is a fast-paced, multidisciplinary hospital unit that provides specialized pre-operative and post-operative care for patients undergoing complex surgical procedures.

The department cares for a wide range of surgical populations including trauma, transplant, orthopedic, thoracic, GI, vascular, urology, ENT, and hepatobiliary patients. 

Acute Medicine:  Acute Care Medicine at Barnes-Jewish includes approximately 300 beds and is a high-acuity inpatient medical unit that provides comprehensive care for patients with complex conditions including heart and renal failure, endocrine disorders, GI diseases, infectious diseases, respiratory illnesses, and hematologic conditions.

NeuroSciences:  The department includes Neuro Medicine units, a Neurosurgical Step-Down Unit, and one of the nation’s largest Neuro ICUs, offering nurses and staff exposure to cutting-edge technology, multidisciplinary collaboration, and evidence-based care in a nationally recognized academic teaching hospital environment.
