Job Description:

Internship Opportunity: Infrastructure and Deployment Automation Intern

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) invites motivated students or early-career professionals to join our team as an Infrastructure and Deployment Automation Intern.

In this role, you will assist in designing, building, and maintaining automation solutions for large-scale High-Performance Computing (HPC) and AI environments.

This internship offers hands-on experience in software development, systems engineering, DevOps, and AI-assisted operations within a cutting-edge technology setting.

Responsibilities:


* Support the development of automated workflows for deploying and managing HPC and AI infrastructure.


* Assist in scripting and automating tasks using languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.


* Help build and test CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure components, containers, and software stacks.


* Contribute to infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and recovery activities under supervision.


* Collaborate with team members to integrate compute, networking, storage, and container technologies.


* Participate in creating documentation, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.


* Learn to use advanced AI tools and techniques, including natural language queries and retrieval-augmented generation, to improve documentation and support workflows.


* Gain exposure to monitoring, logging, and security best practices for large-scale systems.

Education & Experience:


* Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.


* Basic understanding of Linux operating systems, scripting, and programming languages such as Python or Bash.

Knowledge & Skills:


* Interest in automation, infrastructure, HPC, or AI/ML systems.


* Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn new technologies.


* Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
