GPS HST SDET I

We are seeking a software engineer to support the design, development, testing, and deployment of technology solutions for Deloitte's Government and Public Services practice.

In this role, you will work with project teams to build and maintain applications, support delivery milestones, and contribute to client-focused outcomes.

The ideal candidate brings foundational software engineering experience, strong technical discipline, and the ability to work across the software development life cycle.

Work you'll do

As a Project - SDET I on the Government and Public Services team, you will be responsible for...


* Supporting the design, development, testing, and deployment of software applications and system enhancements


* Writing, debugging, and maintaining code using approved programming languages, frameworks, and development tools


* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, document technical solutions, and support delivery activities


* Participating in code reviews, unit testing, defect resolution, and release preparation activities


* Monitoring application performance, troubleshooting issues, and supporting ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement efforts

Qualifications

Required:


* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or Mathematics


* 1+ years of experience in software engineering, application development, or software testing


* 1+ years of experience with at least one programming language such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#


* 1+ years of experience using Git, Agile delivery methods, or continuous integration and continuous deployment tools


* 1+ years of experience working with SQL, relational databases, or application programming interfaces


* Ability to travel 0-20%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
