Legend Brands is a growing multi-vertical manufacturer serving restoration, cleaning, and construction professionals; performance automotive cooling markets; fish hatchery and aquaculture operations; through a portfolio of industry-leading brands including Dri-Eaz, Mediclean, UnSmoke, OdorX, Sapphire Scientific, Prochem, Chemspec, Flex-A-Lite, and Marisource.

Essential Duties:


* Lead manufacturing launch of new and revised products including tooling, equipment, methods and shop floor support


* With the team and through personal contributions, troubleshoot manufacturing assembly and assembly problems, identify root causes and implement corrective actions that prevent recurrence


* Lead and execute engineering projects through direct contribution and through team members


* Design and implement the layout of equipment and workstations to ensure maximum efficiency and product flow


* Select, develop, coach and evaluate department personnel, establishing clear expectations and hold accountable for results


* Lead plastics process engineering activities, including process development, tooling qualification, validation, and optimization, to ensure safe, consistent, and cost-effective production of plastic components


* Provide hands-on technical leadership to Plastics Process Engineers in troubleshooting molding issues, establishing process parameters and standards, and implementing improvements that reduce scrap, improve quality, and increase throughput


* Maintain and prioritize project backlog with defined owners, milestones, and completion dates.


* Actively involved in Tier Meetings, working with a cross-functional team to resolve technical manufacturing issues


* Communicate project status, resource constraints, risks, and decisions requiring escalation


* Develop team capabilities and enhance cross-training to reduce dependence on individual technical experts


* Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:


* Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering/Technology, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or directly related field required


* Minimum seven years’ proven leadership experience in a technical environment required
