Customer Service Representative

Title: Customer Service Representative Duration: 2-3 months temporary employment Rate of Pay: $29.73 per hour FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Employer: Joint Industry Board of the Electrical Industry Department: Members Records Reports to: Members Records Supervisor and Assistant Supervisor Location: Flushing Onsite Monday through Friday Vacancy: 1 JOB DESCRIPTION The Joint Industry board is seeking a customer service representative with an ideal background in benefits, and or Health Insurance administration in managing high volume phone calls.

Under general supervision, the Temporary Customer Service Representative will report to the Members Records Supervisor, and Assistant Supervisor.

including but not limited to them following: Interacts with customers via telephone, email, or in person to provide support and information on products or services.Fields customer questions and complaints; when the issue is beyond the representatives knowledge, forwards to the assigned specialist or other appropriate staff.Ensures that appropriate actions are taken to resolve customers problems and concerns.Maintains customer accounts and records of customer interactions with details of inquiries, complaints, or comments.Catalog the incoming calls, record the message the information of each caller and forward to the right party.Manage physical and email communications for the department and distribute to the right party as needed.Handle and assist membership through customer service.May be required to perform other duties as necessary.

This would require the ability to lift files, pull files/ forms /books, stand, bending, shred documents, open/close filing cabinets as necessary.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a Temporary, onsite 35 hours per week non-exemptposition.

Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:30AM-4:30PM.

Flexibility: Must be able to work overtime when necessary.
