Full-Time | $25.30-$29.87 per hour

Western Slope Health Center is seeking a Business Office Assistant to join our team! This is an excellent opportunity for an organized, dependable, and detail-oriented professional who enjoys supporting a busy healthcare environment and working with a variety of departments.

The Business Office Assistant provides important administrative, clerical, and accounting support to the facility while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and excellent customer service.
What You'll Do
Administrative & Office Support


* Receive and follow schedules and instructions from your supervisor and established policies and procedures.


* Assist in organizing, planning, and directing administrative activities in accordance with established policies and procedures.


* Maintain minutes of meetings and file documentation as necessary.


* Serve as a key representative of the community and make an active contribution toward positive community relations, public regard, and overall awareness of the community.


* Support the Administrator, Director of Nursing (DON), and Business Office Manager with administrative tasks.


* Assist with administrative studies, projects, and special assignments as needed.


* Develop and maintain positive working relationships with personnel throughout the facility and with other departments.


* Assist with recording incidents and accidents and file documentation in accordance with established policies and procedures.


* Help ensure adequate supplies of office materials and equipment are available to meet the day-to-day operational needs of the facility.

Business Office & Accounting Support


* Perform clerical and accounting functions, including cash receipts and ancillary data.


* Assist with Human Resources and payroll duties as needed.


* Utilize office equipment and computer systems to support daily operations.


* Maintain accurate and organized records and documentation.

Confidentiality & Compliance


* Maintain strict confidentiality of all resident care information, including Protected Health Information (PHI).


* Do not disclose resident protected health information and promptly report suspected or known violations of privacy or unauthorized disclosure to the Administrator.


* Follow all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, facility policies, procedures, and standards.


* Support established workplace safety and ergonomics policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques, repetitive-task practices, and use of safety equipment and supplies.

Qualifications
Education & Experience


* High school diploma or GED required.


* Previous administrative, clerical, healthcare, business office, accounting, payroll, or HR experience is preferred.


* Experience working in a skilled nursing or healthcare environment is a plus.
