Facilities Custodian

Job Summary

Industrial Power Solutions, a Sundt Company, is seeking a reliable and detail oriented Facilities Custodian to maintain clean, safe, and organized facilities at our Tempe and Glendale locations.

This role is responsible for routine cleaning, sanitation, supply management, light maintenance, and general upkeep of office, shop, break room, restroom, and common areas.

The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, is dependable, and can work independently while supporting the needs of both locations.

Key Responsibilities


* Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, offices, common areas, and other facility spaces.


* Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors and other surfaces.


* Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners as needed.


* Restock restroom, break room, and cleaning supplies.


* Maintain cleanliness of doors, windows, fixtures, furniture, and other facility surfaces.


* Keep storage and supply areas clean, organized, and properly stocked.


* Perform light maintenance and report facility issues that require additional attention.


* Maintain clean and safe exterior areas, including sidewalks, entrances, and surrounding areas.


* Operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning products safely and properly.


* Travel between the Tempe and Glendale locations as needed.


* Maintain positive working relationships with employees and visitors.


* Follow all company safety policies and procedures.


* Perform other duties as assigned to support the ongoing needs of IPS.

Minimum Job Requirements


* Reliable transportation and ability to travel between the Tempe and Glendale locations.


* Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.


* Ability to work independently and follow instructions.


* Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail.


* Ability to safely use common cleaning equipment and products.


* Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.


* Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.


* Ability to work effectively with employees across the organization.

Preferred Qualifications


* Previous janitorial, custodial, facilities, grounds, or maintenance experience.


* Experience working in an office, construction, industrial, or commercial environment.

Physical Requirements


* Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.


* Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and repetitive movements.


* Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.


* Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.


* Ability to safely handle cleaning products and operate cleaning equipment.


* Ability to travel between IPS facilities as required.
