Ultrasound Technologist

Responsibilities: Performs accurate, efficient, and safe exams by using appropriate procedures and techniques.Uses appropriate protocols when positioning and transferring patients.

Use assistance and appropriate equipment as needed.Prepares all materials and equipment appropriate for procedures.Practices sterile techniques, preventing cross-contamination.Plans work detail to meet daily work schedule consistently within scheduled shift.

Prioritizes and completes essential job functions first and plans for completion of secondary duties.Ensures continuous high quality Ultrasound testing and treatment of all patients by using the proper gain, depth, and resolution settings.Technologists ensure standard of care follows federal, state, local and other accrediting agencies.Follows instructions reliably; utilize supplies and equipment in cost efficient manner and supports changes.Work under minimal supervision and cooperate with other team members.Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Position Requirements: RDMS/ARRT registered or eligible.RVT registered.Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association or preapproved provider.

Position Summary: Performs sonographic procedures at technical level not requiring constant supervision.

Performs a variety of technical procedures with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ultrasound protocols assisting healthcare providers treatment plan.

In addition, has a responsibility for radiographic procedures when needed.
