Join us as a Senior Electrical Designer where you will lead the development of innovative electrical and automation solutions for advanced manufacturing equipment.

This role offers the opportunity to work with cross-functional engineering teams, influence design standards, and drive projects from concept through commissioning while contributing to the next generation of automated machines and production systems.

What will you do?
+ Lead the design of electrical and communication systems for automated machinery and high-volume manufacturing processes
+ Develop detailed electrical engineering deliverables including schematics, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, cable schedules, and bills of materials
+ Apply expertise in automation technologies including robotics, servo systems, vision systems, conveyors, pick-and-place applications, pneumatics, hydraulics, and industrial control systems
+ Perform electrical calculations to properly size electrical devices, conductors, protection systems, and power distribution components
+ Conduct simulations, testing, and design validation activities to optimize system performance prior to procurement and installation
+ Create and maintain technical documentation including design specifications, engineering reports, operating manuals, and installation requirements
+ Review supplier drawings and technical submittals to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and dimensional requirements
+ Support sourcing and procurement activities by selecting electrical components and evaluating technical solutions from suppliers
+ Collaborate with automation engineers, technicians, and manufacturing teams to ensure equipment is assembled and commissioned according to design intent and quality requirements
+ Drive the development and standardization of ECAD libraries, electrical design practices, and engineering standards across the organization
+ Participate in technical design reviews to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements
+ Support equipment installation, startup, and commissioning activities to achieve safety, quality, reliability, and production performance objectives
+ Provide technical support to manufacturing sites and project stakeholders following equipment deployment
+ Partner with engineering teams across North America and global locations to develop innovative solutions and continuous improvements for automated equipment and manufacturing processes
