East Bay Post Acute is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and hardworking Dietary Aide to join our team on a Part-Time basis.

The Dietary Aide plays an important role in supporting our dietary department and ensuring residents receive nutritious, appealing, and timely meals in a clean and safe environment.

The ideal candidate is a team player who takes pride in providing excellent service to our residents.

Key Responsibilities


* Assist with meal preparation and food service according to established menus and dietary requirements


* Prepare and serve meals, snacks, and beverages to residents


* Deliver meals to resident rooms and dining areas as needed


* Set up and clean dining areas before and after meals


* Wash dishes, utensils, trays, and kitchen equipment


* Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, dining areas, and food service equipment


* Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and infection-control procedures


* Follow residents' specific diets and meal requirements


* Assist with portioning and plating meals


* Stock and organize food, supplies, and kitchen items


* Monitor food temperatures and follow food safety guidelines


* Report resident concerns, dietary issues, or changes in appetite to the appropriate staff


* Follow all facility policies and procedures


* Maintain a professional and respectful relationship with residents, families, and staff


* Perform other dietary duties as assigned

Qualifications


* Previous dietary, food service, or healthcare experience preferred


* Skilled nursing or healthcare dietary experience is a plus


* Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation practices preferred


* Dependable, punctual, and reliable


* Strong attention to detail


* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment


* Ability to communicate professionally with residents and staff


* Ability to work independently and as part of a team


* Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical duties associated with food service


* Commitment to providing courteous and respectful service to residents
