Business Analyst, Integrated Eligibility Modernization - Software Engineer II

We are seeking a software engineer to support the design, development, testing, and deployment of technology solutions for Deloitte's Government and Public Services practice.

In this role, you will work with project teams to build and maintain applications, support delivery milestones, and contribute to client-focused outcomes.

The ideal candidate brings foundational software engineering experience, strong technical discipline, and the ability to work across the software development life cycle.

* Supporting the design, development, testing, and deployment of software applications and system enhancements


* Writing, debugging, and maintaining code using approved programming languages, frameworks, and development tools


* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, document technical solutions, and support delivery activities


* Participating in code reviews, unit testing, defect resolution, and release preparation activities


* Monitoring application performance, troubleshooting issues, and supporting ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement efforts

Qualifications

Required:


* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Information Systems, Health & Human Services, Social Sciences, Computer Science, or related field


* 2+ years of professional experience supporting business analysis, system implementation, technology modernization, or business process improvement initiatives


* 2+ years of experience gathering, documenting, and validating business requirements, user stories, business processes, workflows, and functional specifications


* Experience supporting Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) activities including requirements management, design reviews, testing, defect triage, and implementation readiness
