Field Service Engineer - Industry Automation
What will you do?
* Support engineering services and basic design documentation for service and small project activities, including preventive and corrective maintenance of DCS/PLC systems (Schneider Electric portfolio, with focus on Foxboro DCS) andTriconex Safety Systems;
* Assist in preparation of functional design specifications, system configuration, and simple application changes under supervision of senior engineers;
* Participate in installation and commissioning activities, supporting coordination with internal teams and third-party vendors when required;
* Support control system configuration tasks (basic control logic & graphics), integration of PLCs and field devices, and assist during FAT/SAT activities;
* Provide on-site support during construction, commissioning, start-up, and troubleshooting phases;
* Perform routine maintenance activities for DCS, ESD, and Fire & Gas systems under guidance;
* Assist in upgrade and migration projects to existing control systems;
* Develop technical knowledge of products and applications through training, self-study, and collaboration with senior engineers;
* Execute various service tasks at customer sites as required by local management;
* Participate in on-call rotation as required, with support from senior team members.
What qualifications will make you successful:
* Relevant Experience: 0-2 years (internship or entry-level experience in industrial automation is a plus)
* Education: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical field
* Basic PC literacy with knowledge of Windows, MS Office, and standard engineering tools
* Basic understanding of control systems, PLC/DCS concepts (Foxboro knowledge is an advantage but not required)
* Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation (basic level)
* Basic knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, OPC, Ethernet/IP) is an advantage
* Basic programming/scripting knowledge (e.g., C, C#, Python, or similar) is a plus
* Fundamental understanding of process control and automation principles (control loops, PID basics)
* Willingness to learn and develop in industrial automation and control systems
* Open to travel (up to ~30-50%)
* Good English (written and spoken)
* Strong willingness to learn, team-oriented mindset, and good communication skills
* Valid driving license (Category B)
