Position Overview

This is a skilled position requiring the effective management of concrete sales and customer service to residential and commercial customers for Idaho Materials & Construction, Ready Mix Concrete division in the Pocatello, Idaho Falls and Rexburg areas of Southeast Idaho.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)


* Will be responsible for fulfilling customer needs and services


* RM Sales Rep will communicate with contractors, dispatchers and plant managers


* Will create accurate bids and proposals


* Must be able to read and interpret blue prints and plans


* Will perform customer service in varying degrees


* Will verify sales tickets and pricing for customers


* Other duties as assigned per the supervisor

Education/Experience


* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required or equivalent combination of education and experience.


* One (1) to two (2) years related experience and/or training.

Knowledge/Skill Requirements


* Knowledge of Microsoft Office.


* Basic knowledge of Command Alkon.


* Knowledge of concrete mix designs and aggregates.


* Five years in concrete industry preferred.


* Three years professional sales experience preferred.


* Excellent customer service skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.


* Ability to write clearly and effectively.


* Ability to add, subtract, multiple and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.


* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions.


* Ability to work well with others in a group or one on one setting.
