Director, Health Plans (Account Executive)

As a Director, Health Plans, this professional will own the full account relationship, serving as both the account executive and the day-to-day success owner for their clients.

They will be responsible for a deep understanding of customer needs, fostering enduring relationships, and driving both growth and retention without a dedicated support layer as an Account Executive.

This is a hands-on role: the person in this seat is expected to run their own accounts, build their own analyses, and operate independently in a fast-moving, startup-paced environment.

They will possess proven communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, along with an analytical, results-driven approach focused on customer satisfaction and retention.

The role is eligible to anyone working remote within the U.S.

What your impact will be:


* Serve as the primary point of contact for an assigned book of health plan accounts, developing and nurturing proven relationships with clients.


* Become experienced in each client's strategic business targets, book of business, and operations.


* Increase customer engagement through a proactive cadence of check-ins; understand clients' evolving needs and identify opportunities for additional services.



* Independently build the account-level analysis behind recommendations — including enrollment and portfolio data, opportunity sizing, and client-ready materials.



* Facilitate or host webinars with experts to enhance customers' product knowledge.


* Monitor contract renewals and proactively engage with clients to secure renewals.

Travel Requirements:



* 5 - 10 % travel throughout the year

What we look for:



* Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Data/Analytics, or a related field.



* An analyst-caliber background, with the ability to work directly with data (e.g., Excel, SQL, BI tools) to build account insights independently.

(1-3 years)



* Prior experience in a startup or lean, high-ownership environment.

(1-3 years)



* Proven experience as an Account Executive, Customer Success Manager, or in a similar client-facing role carrying both relationship and commercial outcomes.

(2-4 years)



* Proven communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.



* Ability to understand technical concepts and translate them into client-friendly terms.



* Results-driven with a focus on customer satisfaction and retention.

Salary Range:



* $120 - 135K
