Early Head Start Teacher
We are looking for an Early Head Start Teacher to join our Boscobel Head Start team! Make a meaningful difference in the lives of infants, toddlers, and families while building your career in early childhood education with a supportive team.
This individual will work 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday 7:00AM-3:00PM with a starting rate of $18.78-$19.54 per hour.
This is a year-round position.
Key Responsibilities: Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment that supports each child's development, independence, and well-being.
Provide responsive care and active supervision for infants and toddlers, including feeding, diapering, toileting, dressing, and emotional support.
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, child-centered activities using Creative Curriculum and the Early Learning Outcomes Framework (ELOF).
Individualize learning experiences based on each child's interests, strengths, developmental needs, and goals.
Maintain classroom environments that meet licensing requirements, ITERS standards, and Creative Curriculum Fidelity.
Conduct developmental screenings and document children's progress toward developmental and school readiness goals.
Build strong partnerships with families through home visits, parent-teacher conferences, family activities, and ongoing communication.
Collaborate with teaching staff, Family Advocates, Center Coordinators, and families to support children and successful transitions.
Use Conscious Discipline strategies to support positive relationships, emotional development, and problem-solving.
Participate in required Head Start activities, follow program policies and timelines, and maintain compliance with Head Start Performance Standards.
