Warehouse Associate (Near Reno Tahoe Airport)
Job Summary Responsible for receiving, inspecting, and accurately storing inventory, as well as picking, packing, and shipping customer orders using warehouse systems and equipment.
Maintains organized, safe operations by managing inventory accuracy, supporting team workflows, and ensuring timely, efficient fulfillment and shipping processes.
Essential Job Duties Receiving and Putaway of Shipments: You will be responsible for receiving incoming shipments, inspecting them for damages, verifying quantities, and recording them in WMS.
You will also be responsible for accurately labeling and storing items in designated locations/bins ensuring product rotation to maintain FIFO.
Order Picking and Packing: You will fulfill customer orders by accurately picking items from shelves or storage areas and preparing them securely for shipping utilizing company issued handheld scanners.
Attention to detail is crucial to ensure accuracy in order fulfillment.
Inventory Management: You will help maintain accurate inventory records by conducting regular cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring inventory levels are properly maintained.
You may also be responsible for restocking shelves.
Shipping and Receiving: You will prepare outgoing shipments by packing items securely, creating shipping labels, and coordinating with carriers for timely pickups.
You will also assist in unloading incoming shipments and verifying their accuracy.
Document all incoming returns from various carriers.
Warehouse Organization: Keeping the warehouse clean, organized, and safe is a key responsibility.
You will be expected to follow established safety procedures, maintain a clutter-free work environment, and help with general warehouse maintenance tasks.
Equipment Operation: Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks may be required.
Training and certification in equipment operation will be provided.
Team Collaboration: You will work closely with other warehouse associates, supervisors, and other team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet operational goals.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team setting are essential..
