Production Manager- 1st Shift

Position Summary: The Production Manager oversees production lines and operations to ensure quality of product and delivery to distribution.

Responsible for direct supervision of production associates.

Works closely with all other departments including maintenance, sanitation, and shipping.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for achieving safety, quality, and productivity goalsManage production activities and provide direction and support for all shiftsDirect activities shift supervisors, establish department procedures, determine priorities, and secure results through subordinatesResponsible for employee development, conduct and overall performance of the Production DepartmentDrive cost savings initiatives, efficiency gains, and process improvementsEnforce Company policies, safety standards, quality, and Good Manufacturing PracticesAddress employee concerns, resolve problems, train, coach, and discipline employees; make recommendations on hiring and terminationsPromote teamwork and ensure fair management of all employeesResponsible for accurate production reporting and timekeepingDrive improvements in production efficiencies and ensure efficient labor utilizationCoordinate with the quality department to address all quality and customer issuesCoordinate with the maintenance and engineering department to ensure all production needs are effectively communicated and addressedEnsure corrective action investigation and root cause analysis are performedOrganize and lead employee teams to address scrap, quality, safety, and other production issues.Serve as an effective mentor and coach for leadership development and support succession planning initiatives.
