You'll keep the rental counter running smoothly, support daily yard operations and delivery the friendly, dependable service our customers count on.

What youll do: Welcome customers, answer questions, and connect them with the right rental equipment for their needsPrepare rental agreements and contracts accurately and efficientlyCollect and process payments for rental transactionsHelp customers safely load and unload rental equipmentPitch in with loading and unloading freightKeep inventory spreadsheets and rental records accurate and up to dateCheck in with current and past customers about their seasonal rental needsReach out to prospective customers and share how Swanstons rental equipment can helpHelp keep the yard clean, organized, and ready for businessStage equipment in the yard for sales and rentalsMake sure equipment is fueled, washed, and ready to goLearn how customers work and build your knowledge of equipment models, features, safety features, and benefitsExplain equipment safety features, options, and packages so customers can choose with confidencePartner with the service team to coordinate repairs and create work orders for rental equipmentHelp keep the yard, driveways, and sidewalks clear of snow during the winterCross-train with the parts department and provide backup support when neededJump in on other tasks as neededteamwork makes the day run better What youll bring: A high school diploma or GEDExperience in a customer-facing or customer service roleExperience with compact or heavy equipmentor knowledge of the construction industryis a plus, but it isnt required Comfort using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and ExcelA reliable, punctual approach to workStrong attention to detail and a commitment to getting things rightA genuine desire to provide great customer serviceClear, friendly written and verbal communication skillsStrong listening skills and an interest in understanding what customers needThe organization and flexibility to juggle multiple prioritiesA respectful, considerate attitude toward customers, coworkers, and visitorsA commitment to living our company core values Swanston will provide: Great, employee centric work environment that promotes happiness, healthiness, and safety!A team that shows up with integrity, leads with empathy, stays curious, and follows through with commitment.
