* VOA Michigan (VOAMI) is seeking a dedicated Cook to join our Detroit Veterans Housing Program.

In this role, you'll help prepare and serve nutritious meals to veterans while ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming dining environment.

What You'll Do >> Prepare and serve meals following menu plans and food safety standards >> Maintain kitchen sanitation and proper food storage procedures >> Monitor inventory and assist with food donation pickups >> Work closely with the Kitchen Manager and Lead Cook >> Support a positive experience for the veterans we serve What We're Looking For >> High School Diploma/GED required >> 3 to 5 years of cooking or food service experience preferred >> ServSafe Certification required >> Knowledge of food preparation, storage, and sanitation practices >> Valid Michigan Driver's License and insurable driving record >> Ability to lift 25+ pounds and work a flexible schedule Why Join VOAMI? >> Meaningful work serving those who have served our country >> Supportive team environment >> Opportunity to make a lasting impact in the community Apply today and help nourish lives while building a stronger community for Detroit's veterans.
