Senior Aerospace Production Engineer

Job Summary

We're looking for a Senior Production Engineer to support the development, optimization, and production of aerospace and industrial gas turbine components for both repair and OEM applications.

In this role, you'll lead technical projects, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and develop innovative manufacturing processes that enhance product quality, operational efficiency, and business performance.

What You’ll Be Doing


* Lead the development and improvement of repair processes for turbine, compressor, and combustor components.


* Provide technical support for production operations, troubleshooting manufacturing and process-related challenges.


* Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean tools and problem-solving methodologies.


* Lead projects focused on process optimization, cost reduction, quality improvement, and capacity enhancement.


* Own technical aspects of assigned production processes and implement sustainable process improvements.


* Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Commercial teams to develop and industrialize new repair solutions.


* Identify, develop, and implement tooling, equipment, and process improvements.


* Prepare technical reports, specifications, procedures, and manufacturing documentation.


* Present project updates, technical findings, and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.


* Support new product introduction (NPI) activities and transition new repairs into production.

 

What We’re Looking For


* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.


* 5+ years of aerospace, industrial gas turbine, or manufacturing engineering experience.


* Experience developing or supporting repair processes such as brazing, plating, coating, welding, or other aerospace manufacturing processes.


* Strong project management, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills.


* Experience driving process improvements through Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.


* Ability to analyze production challenges, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.


* Experience supporting product development, production support, and process maturation activities.


* Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.


* Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment, including FAA or similar quality systems.
