Logistics Assistant (Water Spider) 1st shift

Job Summary

We’re looking for a Logistics Assistant to support production operations through production scheduling, inventory management, capacity planning, and data analysis.

In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflow, ensure material availability, and help drive on-time delivery while supporting safe, efficient manufacturing operations.

Shift: 1st shift, Monday-Friday 6:00a-2:30p

What You’ll Be Doing


* Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and production priorities.


* Adjust schedules to accommodate changing customer demand, resource availability, and production constraints.


* Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods to support production requirements.


* Partner with procurement to ensure timely availability of materials needed to meet production schedules.


* Collaborate with operations, engineering, and other functional teams to align production plans with business objectives.


* Communicate production status, schedule changes, and potential issues to key stakeholders.


* Analyze production capacity and resource utilization to support efficient operations and on-time delivery.


* Identify bottlenecks and work with operations teams to implement effective solutions.


* Utilize ERP systems, Power BI, and other planning tools to analyze production data and performance metrics.


* Prepare reports and provide recommendations based on production and inventory data analysis.


* Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve production planning processes.


* Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality requirements.


* Provide support and training on production planning tools, systems, and processes.

 

What We’re Looking For


* High school diploma or equivalent required.


* 3+ years of experience in production planning, manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, or a related environment.


* Experience in aerospace, energy, or similar industries involved in the manufacture and/or repair of highly engineered products.


* Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and experience using ERP systems, Power BI, SQL, or other data analysis tools.


* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
