This is a role well suited for a highly motivated student looking to build their skill set and gain hands-on experience.

As a Research Intern, you will be responsible for:


* Developing and fine-tuning multimodal vision/language/action models for downstream robotic tasks


* Designing pipelines that fuse multi-sensor imaging and kinematic signals into unified spatial representations


* Connecting perception to planning and control through VLA-based policies and agentic AI decision-making frameworks

This position may suit you best if you are familiar with what is below, and would like to develop your skills with Healthineers:


* M.S., Ph.D., or postdoctoral researcher in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a closely related field


* Strong programming skills in Python and experience with modern deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch)


* Demonstrated research experience in computer vision, deep learning, or multimodal machine learning (e.g., publications, projects, or advanced coursework)

Required skills and education to have for the success of this role:


* Currently enrolled in and pursuing studies at a foreign degree- or certificate-granting post-secondary academic institution outside the United States OR Has graduated from such an institution no more than 12 months prior to his or her exchange visitor program start date.
