Role Overview

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of maintenance activities for production equipment, facilities, and supporting infrastructure.

This position ensures equipment reliability, maximizes uptime, and minimizes operational disruptions through effective preventive maintenance programs, continuous improvement initiatives, and sound asset management practices.

The Maintenance Manager leads a team of maintenance professionals, oversees contractors and capital projects, and works cross-functionally with operations to support production goals, safety objectives, and long-term business success.

What You'll Do


* Lead by example in promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.


* Manage, coach, develop, and evaluate maintenance personnel, including hiring, training, performance management, and succession planning.


* Leverage CMMS (Maintenance Connection) to prioritize, schedule, assign, and track maintenance activities.


* Partner closely with production and operations teams to communicate equipment status, prioritize repairs, and coordinate planned maintenance activities.


* Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.


* Supervise the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing equipment and facility systems.


* Oversee maintenance of electrical systems, PLC controls, hydraulic systems, compressed air systems, HVAC equipment, and facility infrastructure.


* Manage outside contractors, including vendor selection, project scope development, scheduling, performance monitoring, and cost control.


* Support capital expenditure planning by identifying facility and equipment needs, developing budgets and project scopes, and managing approved projects through completion.


* Maintain appropriate spare parts inventory levels and ensure critical replacement components are available when needed.


* Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, efficiency, cost reduction, and operational excellence.


* Analyze equipment failures and maintenance trends to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
