Salesforce Platform Director

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Platform Director to own the architecture, integration, and ongoing health of our Salesforce platform and the broader set of tools connected to it.

This is a hands-on role paired with strategic ownership: the person in this seat will both build and lead.

In addition to core platform architecture, this role is responsible for extending how Salesforce data is used beyond Salesforce itself - architecting solutions where other tools, including AI systems built in-house, draw on Salesforce data or feed data back into it.

The ideal candidate combines deep hands-on Salesforce expertise with the ability to lead a team, manage vendor and integration decisions, and translate priorities from Marketing, Sales, and Revenue Operations into scalable, well-governed technical solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



* Salesforce architecture: Own the end-to-end architecture of the Salesforce platform, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and CPQ, ensuring the org scales cleanly as the business grows


* Team leadership: Lead and mentor a team of Salesforce administrators, developers, and architects, setting priorities and reviewing work for quality and consistency, while remaining hands-on in the platform


* Cross-functional partnership: Serve as the primary Salesforce partner to Marketing, Sales, and Revenue Operations leadership, translating their priorities into Salesforce and ecosystem solutions


* Security and permissions: Design and maintain the Salesforce security model, including profiles, roles, permission sets, sharing rules, and Salesforce Shield


* Release management: Own the deployment pipeline and release process using DevOps tooling (e.g., Gearset or equivalent), ensuring changes are tested, tracked, and low-risk


* Ecosystem integrations: Architect and maintain integrations between Salesforce and adjacent platforms, including Boomi, Tamr, NetSuite, and Adobe Marketo Engage


* AI integrations: Explore and architect solutions where Salesforce data is leveraged by AI tools, including AI-powered tools built in-house, ensuring data flows are secure, governed, and reliable in both directions


* CPQ ownership: Manage CPQ configuration, product and pricing data integrity, and the quote-to-cash process


* Data governance: Maintain data quality and integrity across the ecosystem, partnering with data mastering and governance efforts as needed


* Vendor and technical evaluation: Support technical review, security assessment, and integration planning for new tools being considered for the ecosystem


* Documentation: Document architecture, configurations, and processes to support a growing, well-governed platform
