Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley is currently looking for a reliable and enthusiastic casual Kitchen Steward to help our chefs make every dish memorable by setting and maintaining exceptional standards in our kitchens.

Located in the Valley of The Hawkesbury River, just 45 minutes from Sydney and at the foothills of the Blue Mountains, Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley is the ideal destination for a group getaway, romantic retreat, wedding or conference destination.

Based on 8 hectares of landscaped gardens, our comfortable, contemporary rooms and suites, delicious dining options and the only Vela Spa & Bathhouse in Australia, provide our guests with a diverse destination experience.

You'll be an energetic and dedicated team player who is focused on maintaining kitchen cleanliness and hygiene as per the HACCP standard and looking to develop your kitchen skills.

 

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:


* Cleaning and sterilising countertops, walls, stoves, ovens, grills, sinks and cooking equipment


* Maintaining food storage areas like freezers and refrigerators


* Receiving and organising deliveries to the kitchen


* Supporting the chefs and other kitchen staff in basic food preparation, cutting, peeling, and washing


* Removing kitchen waste and washing dirty dishes

What we need from you:


* Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment - hotel experience is an advantage


* Take a real sense of pride in your ability to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen


* Well-presented and good communication skills


* Team player with a collaborative approach to work


* Working Rights - you must have working rights in Australia


* Passion for delivering great service


* Willingness to learn new things and work as part of a wider hotel team 


* The flexibility to work various shifts on a rotating roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays
