Commercial Real Estate Property Management Supervisor

Job Description

As a Commercial Real Estate Property Management Supervisor, you will interpret, negotiate, and manage complex commercial real estate matters that support and strengthen AutoZone's retail real estate portfolio.

You will oversee a team responsible for lease administration, property management resolutions, dispositions, and commercial real estate negotiations while supporting leadership through special projects, team development, and cross-functional collaboration.

This role requires extensive experience with commercial real estate documents, lease interpretation, and portfolio management.

Responsibilities



* Read, interpret, and analyze commercial real estate documents including lease agreements, amendments, property deeds, title policies, easement agreements, site plans, surveys, restrictive covenants, and other real estate-related documents.


* Negotiate and manage commercial real estate transactions, including property dispositions, rights of first refusal (ROFR), use restriction waivers, easements, ECR agreements, and other documents necessary to protect and enhance the company's real estate portfolio.


* Supervise a growing team responsible for lease interpretation, commercial real estate negotiations, property dispositions, matter resolutions, and review of legal documents impacting the real estate portfolio.


* Partner with Legal, Real Estate, Store Development, and other business teams to resolve complex real estate matters and support strategic initiatives.


* Support the Manager of Property Management by leading special projects, mentoring team members, and training new AutoZoners.


* Manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously while providing subject matter expertise on commercial real estate issues across the organization.

Qualifications



* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.


* Juris Doctor (JD) highly preferred.


* 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate, corporate real estate, lease administration, real estate transactions, or property portfolio management.


* Experience interpreting and negotiating commercial leases, easements, title documents, restrictive covenants, rights of first refusal, and property dispositions.


* Commercial real estate experience supporting a national retailer, REIT, real estate developer, brokerage organization, title company, or corporate real estate department highly preferred.


* Demonstrated knowledge of commercial real estate terminology, practices, and transaction management.


* Strong leadership, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
