Love working with kids? Want a job where you can have fun, build experience, and make a difference in your community? The YMCA School Age Care (SAC) Program is seeking a Program Staff (age 16+) to join our team.

This flexible Monday through Friday role includes a free Y membership, professional growth opportunities and more! In this role, you'll help create a fun, safe, and welcoming environment where kids can learn, play, and be themselves.

Schedule: Part-Time, Monday through FridayBefore school; 6:00am to 9:15am After school; 2:10pm to 6:00pmNo evenings or weekend hours Hours may vary based on program and school needs Pay: The salary for this position is $16.50 hourly.

We take into consideration an individuals background and experience in determining salary; therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

The compensation package includes a wide range of other benefits and earned time off that vary depending on part-time or full-time status.

Job Summary: The School Aged Child Care Program Staff is responsible for planning, leading, and implementing recreational and creative experiences for school age children in a group setting.

The incumbent provides high-quality recreational experiences for school aged children that focus on the YMCA core values: honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring.

Essential Functions: Assist with the writing and implementation of weekly lesson plans.Organize and lead a variety of activities appropriate for school-age children.

Activities may include arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor games, enrichment activities, etc.Ensure that the site is kept clean and organized.Assist in maintaining accurate program records including incident reports, daily rosters, logbook documentation, and attendance records.Assist in completing child and program evaluations.Maintain CACFP and Minnesota Department of Health Licensing for meals and snacks, if applicable.

Relationships: This position reports to the Site Director who reports to the Program Director/Sr.

Coordinator.

The incumbent interacts regularly with children, parents, and staff members from diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications: Required: Minimum age of 16.Complete required YMCA training courses within 30 days of hire.Ability to lead, plan, organize, and implement program activities.Good skills in communication, organization, and human relations.Willingness to work with diverse populations Preferred: Previous experience working with school age children.Knowledge of CACFP Program requirements.

Work Conditions: Must be able to actively participate in youth games/activities which include getting in the water during swimming.
