Electrical Maintenance Technician

National Guard Products is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, automated machinery, and production equipment.

This position will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose equipment failures, and complete repairs to minimize downtime and support safe, efficient production operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong industrial electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, experience creating and revising PLC programs, and the ability to safely use an electrical multimeter and other diagnostic equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and production equipment.Safely use electrical multimeters and other testing equipment to diagnose electrical problems.Troubleshoot electrical wiring, motors, switches, sensors, relays, contactors, control panels, and related components.Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and equipment manuals.Create, modify, troubleshoot, and revise PLC programs used to control automated production equipment.Maintain backups and documentation of PLC programs and programming changes.Troubleshoot PLC-controlled machinery, automated systems, and industrial control systems.Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.Diagnose equipment malfunctions and determine the appropriate repairs.Assist with installing, modifying, testing, and starting up new equipment and electrical systems.Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.Perform welding and fabrication work when needed.Respond promptly to maintenance requests and equipment breakdowns.Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, parts usage, and preventive maintenance activities.Follow electrical codes, lockout/tagout procedures, OSHA requirements, and company safety policies.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.Work independently and collaborate with production employees, supervisors, and other maintenance team members.Perform additional duties as assigned.
