Site Supervisor

Supervises all activities at Associations home games and does related work as required.

Work is performed under general supervision of the Association Supervisor.

Employee is subject to varying hours of work, including nights and some weekends; involves leadership supervision, and coordination of field and game activities.

Essential Job Duties Inspects and ensures that fields/ courts are properly prepared for games.Reports scores on the same day of the game.Maintains a safe and orderly game environment for participants and spectators.Arrives 30 minutes before start of game and stays until all participants are under adult supervision.Secures buildings and gates within 30 minutes following the end of the last game of the day.Responsible for controlling lighting as needed.Assists umpire / refereed upon request.Repairs / re-lines the fields as necessary.Responsible for having equipment ready for each game.May serve as substitute official / umpire on an emergency basis.Must enforce the Health and Mitigation Plan Bedford County Parks and Recreation has with Bedford County Public Schools.

Qualifications Education and Experience Completion of high school or GED.

Also, some experience in assisting an area recreational club or program; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must have general knowledge of football, baseball, softball, soccer, and basketball.Association Supervisor Training required.Customer service skills and ability to get along with others is necessary.Must be able to diffuse difficult situations.

Location will be at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School.

This is a seasonal position, that will work nights and weekends.

Flexibility is necessary.
