Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced System Integration HW & SW Test Engineer to qualify Building Management System (BMS) products and solutions, with a particular focus on system-level testing and UL 864 certification readiness.

The role combines hands-on hardware and software testing with the design and development of physical system test environments.

The successful candidate will build representative BMS test systems, integrate hardware and software components, develop structured test suites, and execute system-level qualification testing.

A key responsibility will be preparing products and systems for UL 864 certification through comprehensive pre-certification testing, as well as executing applicable self-certification and internal qualification testing.

The engineer will work closely with software development, hardware development, system engineering, product management, and certification specialists to identify issues early and ensure that products meet functional, system, and certification requirements.

The role will initially have a strong focus on establishing the test environment and performing hands-on testing.

Over time, the engineer will develop repeatable test suites and identify opportunities for test automation, either implementing automation directly or working together with test automation and software development colleagues.
Key Responsibilities


* Design, build, configure, and maintain physical system integration test environments for BMS products and solutions.


* Integrate hardware, software, controllers, networks, field devices, and other required system components into representative test configurations.


* Perform HW/SW system integration testing to verify functionality, interoperability, stability, and expected system behavior.


* Develop and maintain structured system-level test plans, test cases, and reusable test suites.


* Perform pre-certification testing to identify issues before formal UL 864 certification activities.


* Execute applicable self-certification, qualification, and compliance test activities.


* Interpret UL 864 requirements and translate relevant requirements into practical system test scenarios and test cases.


* Reproduce, analyze, document, and communicate defects discovered during system testing.


* Work closely with software and hardware development teams to support root-cause investigation and verification of corrections.


* Maintain test configurations and ensure that test setups are repeatable and representative of intended product configurations.


* Document test results and provide clear evidence of system behavior and compliance.
