Resin Plant Operator 2nd Shift

SUMMARY Run, monitor, maintain and operate the resin mixing plant.

Perform, record, interpret and maintain necessary material tests.

Organize, inventory, store and replace raw materials needed for resin production.

Train and monitor additional personnel.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 1.

Run, monitor, and maintain resin mixing plant to meet daily production goals.

2.

Run daily material tests, interpret and record all results and report deviations to Facilities Manager or Resin Plant Leadership.

3.

Daily check of inventory of raw good.

4.

Select the raw materials you will work with and verify they are correct according to your recipe.

5.

Inspect resin mixing plant for technical faults.

6.

Control all technical data (temperature, vacuum, pressure, liquid levels and such) 7.

Forklift license required.

8.

Load and unload all needed materials into the resin mixing plant.

9.

Monitor load cycle and report deviations from prescribed cycle.

10.

Complete daily/weekly data logs 11.

Clean and maintain work area.

12.

Machine set-ups, replace parts and make adjustments.

Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.

13.

Perform and complete Preventive Maintenance work orders that are printed weekly from the maintenance CMMS system and close completed work orders in the software or submit to the Facilities Manager.

14.

Manage empty drums and totes, organize non-hazardous waste, and dispose of all waste resins following process for disposal.

15.

Assist Mold Technician as needed.

16.

Other duties as assigned ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES 1.

Cleaning and mopping of work area.

2.

Perform small repair jobs and improvements.

3.

Provide emergency / unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.

4.

Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.

Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.

5.

Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

6.

Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS 1.

Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.

This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.

2.

The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.

3.

Performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.

4.

Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and performing maintenance work.

5.

Ability to lift up to 70 pounds required.

6.

Good understanding of machinery and all related technical equipment.

7.

Previous knowledge and experience in various maintenance work #LI-DNI
