FT Collections Librarian Starting Salary: $58,700 Hours: Full-time 40 hours weekly Full Time Benefits POSITION SUMMARY The Collections Librarian supervises and directs the development and maintenance of library collections and directs the acquisition process of assigned areas and facilitates and updates the collection budget.

The Collections Librarian creates and maintains location-specific collection branch profiles through onsite visits and interviews with staff and occasionally creates and maintains various bibliographies.

This position may manage vendor relationships to effectively manage acquisition and movement of collection materials.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES In cooperation with the Director of Collections and other colleagues, the Collections Librarian will advance the library's mission, vision, strategic priorities, and brand.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Select materials for library locations and online collections.

Evaluate and develop collection goals.

Regularly place orders with vendors for print and nonprint materials, including e-book and e-audio; compile, maintain, and update series standing orders from vendors.

Actively receive and respond to various inquiries from staff, vendors, or patrons pertaining to collections.

Plan and present programs as needed for outreach and engagement with the community and/or for staff.

Work with the Director of Collections in developing, implementing, and monitoring the library materials, resources, and budgets.

Gather and present information, statistics, or reports relevant to the collection.

Meet with vendor representatives to review services, products, and procedures.

Participate in special projects, or other duties, as assigned.
